Our Team

Sarah E. Kerr, MD

My work passion is cytopathology, which specializes in getting the most information possible out of tiny, minimally invasive biopsies, fluids and Pap tests. An increasing part of cytopathology is molecular testing. I have worked to develop a timely and personalized next generation sequencing service using cytopathology specimens from patients with cancer. These results are critical to making individualized decisions on targeted cancer therapy.

The fusion of our cytopathology and molecular services is constantly growing and improving, which provides great professional challenge and satisfaction. I also am an expert in gynecologic and placental pathology. I am so proud of the diagnostic excellence of our team in this area. We have a great collaborative relationship with the gynecologists and oncologists. We strive to make pathology reports for our patients that are unparalleled in quality. I participate in patient-directed teleconferences on a wide variety of cancer and cancer biomarker related topics through a non-profit organization called CancerCare.

Outside of work, I am a tennis mom, fitness enthusiast, and martial arts fan.
