Dr. Anil Tadavarthy
joined HPA in 1998. He has
developed a strong interest in urologic pathology, reviewing many of the
genitourinary tract biopsies seen at United Hospital and instituting the
system of “saving” tissue levels on prostate needle biopsies in order
to improve the sensitivity of immunohistochemistry in the detection of
small foci of prostate cancer. In
2004 Dr. Tadavarthy spent a sabbatical at Emory University studying with
Dr. Mahul Amin, an internationally recognized expert in genitourinary
pathology.
